Everyone always wants to know what is the best type of cardio.  What will give me the best bang for my buck.  The answer is a little different for each individual depending on their level of fitness, but my motto is go hard or go home.  The thing with cardio is to burn calories correct?  Well while that is true you also have to know that you can spend less time on cardio and burn more calories if you do it correctly.  My personal favorite is burst style cardio which looks a little like this:

1 min warm up walk
1 min jog
30 seconds sprints
30 seconds rest

Repeat

Start out doing 10 minutes of this before your weight training.  Challenge yourself to get to where you can do 20 minutes or even 30.   Doing this style cardio will not only burn more calories but it will save you time.  For my clients with knee problems I have them do a very similar style cardio on an elliptical or even a spin bike.  Push yourselves, you will be tired, but results take hard work.http://ad.doubleclick.net/adi/N7433.148119.BLOGGEREN/B6723627.2887;sz=180×150;ord=timestamp?;lid=41000613802463289;pid=1413791;usg=AFHzDLuhPhEKV3pU3_vvvNqq0RhoQzj76w;adurl=http%253A%252F%252Fwww.drjays.com%252Fshop%252FP1413791%252Fnike%252Fnike-free-run-sneakers-gs.html;pubid=607281;price=%2474.00;title=Nike+Boys+Nike+Free+Ru…;merc=DrJays.com;imgsrc=http%3A%2F%2Fmediaext.djnetworks.net%2Fmedia%2F105%2F426%2Ffiles%2F10542666.jpg;width=68;height=85
